Adaptive Race Car to Make Pit Stop at Holiday Inn Boston-Bunker Hill
Disability-Accommodating Race Car Allows Veterans to Get Behind the Wheel Again
WHAT: On Saturday, March 14, an adaptive race car, courtesy of Accessible Racing, will be making a pit stop at Holiday Inn Boston-Bunker Hill on its way to participate in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade!
This unique race car has been adapted to accommodate people with disabilities, allowing veterans to experience the thrill of racing, “Accessible Racing has brought a remarkable dream to reality for our Vietnam veteran who thought he would not be able to get behind the wheel of a car,” said Lisa A. Williams of the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, “By adapting the car to accommodate disabilities, a life changing event was brought to this man and his confidence has soared because of the experience.”
The race car will be available outside Holiday Inn Boston-Bunker Hill, which is conveniently located less than a mile outside of the city, to view and take photos with before it participates in the St. Paddy’s Day parade on Sunday.
